October 2, 2011 - Sholom Glouberman, President of PAC, delivered a presentation this morning at the National Case Management Network's Fifth Annual Conference and Expo. The title of this year's conference was Excellence & Professionalism for Case Management in Canada. Sholom spoke about the difficulties that case managers face, and the need for a patients' association.

SARNIA, ON, September 21, 2011 – For the first time ever, patients in Sarnia-Lambton have nominated their physicians for a Patients’ Choice Award. The Patients’ Association of Canada and the Ontario Medical Association announced the winners of the Patients’ Choice Awards at a reception today.

The Sarnia-Lambton Patients' Choice Awards was a success. We received a record amount of nominations, each containing valuable insight to the patient perspective. The two winners are Dr. Glen Maddison and Dr. Cynthia Arnold.

The Patients' Association of Canada (PAC) is happy to join other national health associations in supporting Canada Health Infoway's (Infoway) ImagineNation Outcomes Challenge.

The Outcomes Challenge will accelerate the use of innovative solutions in four key areas with the potential to improve healthcare quality and the patient experience:

TORONTO, Sept. 9, 2011 /CNW/ - Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) announced today the formation of a new Clinical Council to provide advice on the organization's clinical engagement strategy and investments. The Council will be chaired by Dr. Michael Golbey, who is a practicing family physician from Kelowna, British Columbia and Chair of the Canadian Medical Association Board of Directors. It also includes physician, nurse, pharmacist and patient representatives.
