We began at 6:30 PM by going around the table and introducing ourselves. We discussed PAC updates and new projects - User Guide, Trillium grant project, etc. - and then dove right into some new ideas.
Highlights:
"the system is set-up to solve problems but can't solve everything... so we're the annoying ones, the frustration."
We spoke about the expertise resting in every patient and how to utilize that: the User Guide! We could capitalize on patient experience.
We need to clarify the privacy legislation, re: disclosing medical records. "It's not what the legislation was meant to do (refusing access to medical records), but that's what it's used for..."
